9 miles cut short
100 degrees in Kansas means my 9 mile got cut short to 7 miles. I think that is what it means to live in a free country. I am going to run some extra miles this week to make sure Ian doesn't kick my ass next week. I fear I would not have made it on the Oregon trail as I was cursing the prairie sun on Sunday afternoon.

Actually, living in a free country means you have to run in 100 degree heat. It's a strange sort of freedom.
